Everything indicates that there will be a record number of visitors at Mötesplats Lycksele in 2025. This is the county's big working meeting when representatives from all parts of society meet to create even better conditions for Västerbotten, which is really needed today! In a world full of worries and challenges, we need to be seen to react and act together. In 2025, Mötesplats Lycksele focuses on the local and regional perspective, we have especially invited the municipalities in the county to get a broad and active representation from the entire county.

Speakers and inspirers include Elisabeth Backteman, Director General of the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Development, Helen Pettersson (S), Member of Parliament and member of the Defence Committee, Anna Iwarsson, Chair of the Swedish Sports Federation and SISU Sports Coaches, and Magdalena Malm, Chair of the Arctic Design Council – among many others of course.

It is a partially participant-driven conference where Inspirational lectures with panel discussions, a hands-on workshop, award ceremonies and new meetings fill the agenda. Here we delve into questions about regional development and mobilize actors from across the county around impact issues relevant to Västerbotten.

By creating engagement and changing attitudes, the meeting place opens up for discussion and interaction between opinion leaders and regional actors. Something that in turn aims to further develop the innovation climate and future-proof the region's attractiveness.
