Vidda is a vocal ensemble from Skellefteå, featuring Hanna Cronholm, Amanda Liljestrand, Lovisa Wangby, and Sanna Lundberg. Formed in 2013, the group has mainly been active in northern Sweden, especially in the regions of Norrbotten and Västerbotten.
Their music is rooted in a cappella singing inspired by Nordic folk traditions, occasionally enriched with instrumental elements such as violin and cello. The combination of strings and vocals is a key part of this concert’s soundscape.
Vidda performs a mix of folk tunes, traditional songs, and hymns — all carefully arranged to bring out the group’s unique vocal blend.
The four musicians first met as children through music, and each has since pursued advanced studies in folk and classical music across Sweden and Europe. Today, they are all freelance musicians based in Stockholm, Östersund, Gothenburg, and Umeå.
