A concert with a twist on freely interpreted songs and lyrics by Bob Dylan.
In a dark hotel bar, the Joker and the Thief meet for the first time? Friction and confusion ensue, but the songs provide clarity and answers for both. Over the course of the show, they face their demons, open up about their hopes and dreams, and help each other remember why they are here.
All songs are linked and intertwined with short scenes based on stories (and lies) about Bob Dylan's life and work. It's a surreal, stylistic and Dylanistic journey where the Joker and the Thief meet for the first time, and they soon realize that they have some kind of connection. The conflict between the characters has a strong Waiting for Godot feel and arouses confusion, recognition and a sense of community with the audience. The show touches on topics such as friendship, dreams, love and war. Topics that are, undeniably, as timeless and ever-relevant as the songs and lyrics. Bob Dylan wrote over 50 years ago.
