The courage to stand up to war.
Skellefteå
A Story about Archbishop and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Nathan Söderblom.
Bishop emeritus Jonas Jonsson shares the story of Archbishop Nathan Söderblom and the church’s role in Europe during the interwar period. At the Stockholm Conference in 1925, Nathan managed to gather church representatives from around the world with the goal of building peace—something no one had succeeded in doing before. His courage not only earned him the Nobel Peace Prize but also laid the foundation for the World Council of Churches.
