The Willpower Workshop – The Will to Change and the Tools to Succeed

Willpower is your ability to manage impulses and make decisions that align with your long-term goals. It can be about lifestyle changes or challenges, big or small, where it’s hard to stay motivated over time. Examples include:

I want to keep up with my training.
I want to eat healthier.
I want to break the habit of endless scrolling.
I want to stop online shopping.

How it works:
Over five workshop-based sessions (1.5 hours each), we explore motivation, habits, and self-control. Between sessions, you’ll get exercises to test in your daily life – small steps that lead to real change.

Course content:Introduction to willpower + simple starter exercises
How to create the best conditions for change
Recognizing your triggers, feelings, and impulses in time
How to handle setbacks and bounce back
Self-control, long-term vision – and why you can’t stop thinking about a white bear

Instructor:
Marie, who leads the Willpower Workshop, is educated in health promotion at Luleå University of Technology, with a focus on nutrition, physical activity, recovery, mental training, and motivational interviewing.
