Västerbottensteatern's dramaturg Tora von Platen talks with actor and writer Zinat Pirzadeh and artist, director and playwright Nasim Aghili about artistic courage, strategies for achieving social change and the "Women, Life, Freedom" movement in Iran.

During the fall of 2025, Zinat and Nasim will work at Västerbottensteatern with the production "When Zinat came to the village" with a premiere on October 25th in Jörn.

Zinat Pirzadeh is an award-winning Iranian-Swedish artist, writer, actor, comedian, lecturer and human rights activist. She was born in the city of Sari in the Mazandaran province in northern Iran and was a summer talker on Swedish Radio P1 in 2007 and a winter host on P1 in 2021.

Nasim Aghili is a director, playwright and artist with 20 years of experience in performance, theatre installations, musical theatre and participatory performing arts. which often deals with experiences of existing and living in various forms of exile – usually in the form of healing rituals.
The monologue was developed together with Kristina Kalén, storytelling coach.
