What’s the best thing about Skellefteå? That’s the question photographer Marianne is asking young photography enthusiasts in Skellefteå Municipality – and now the photo competition SkellSmile is officially underway!
As part of the cultural celebration Kulturnatta on September 26, all youth up to age 17 are invited to submit their own photos on the theme “The best thing about Skellefteå.” The competition is open and free of charge, and the winning entries will be showcased in a large photo exhibition at Sara kulturhus, with a vernissage and awards ceremony during Kulturnatta.
Photo location: Southern foyer
Vernissage: 5:00 PM–8:00 PM
Awards ceremony: 7:00 PM in the Southern foyer
The jury includes Paulina Holmgren, former chair of the Swedish Photographers’ Association, and Stefan Schönfeldt from Ungdomsverket.
Winners of first, second, and third prize will be selected by the jury, and visitors will also have the chance to vote for their favorite in the exhibition. All participants will be entered into a prize draw for additional giveaways.
