Since 2021, Viktor Norén has turned the Christmas concerts into a beloved tradition. Together with his brother Gustaf, he has welcomed over 100,000 people over the years to evenings filled with music, warmth, and unforgettable moments. This year, older brother Gustaf is on sick leave, but the tradition lives on – and this time, Viktor is joined by none other than Mark Levengood.
For Viktor, the Christmas concerts are something truly special. He describes them as some of his most beautiful musical memories and says they’ve become as natural a part of his Christmas as lit candles. Now that Gustaf needs to rest, Viktor feels it’s only fitting that Mark steps in: “His heartfelt voice has been with me since I was a child – he only needs to open his mouth and out comes the spirit of Christmas.”
Mark and Viktor already shared the stage during Viktor’s summer tour, where their chemistry left audiences wanting more. Now, together with pianist Nina Sand, they invite you to an atmospheric evening filled with Christmas songs, stories, music, and tradition.
For Mark, Christmas is deeply tied to togetherness. He shares that he’s celebrated with relatives, family, sometimes with friends, and some years while working in long-term care. “I can’t account for which years we ate ham (probably all) and which Christmases we drank glögg (definitely all),” he says with a smile, “but I can, with precision, tell you who I celebrated with, year by year.” For him, it’s that sense of community that lies at the heart of Christmas, and he concludes: “Can I imagine a better way to enter this year’s holiday season than doing a concert with Viktor and stepping into the vast togetherness that the audience represents? No, I cannot.”
