Weeping Willows
Stage 1, Sara kulturhus, Skellefteå
Weeping Willows, one of Sweden’s most beloved and seasoned pop bands, will embark on a major concert hall tour in spring 2026, visiting 16 cities from Malmö in the south to Luleå in the north. With one of Sweden’s finest voices, lead singer Magnus Carlson guides the band through an emotionally rich musical landscape, where their signature blend of melancholy and sweeping melodies promises an unforgettable evening filled with feeling and energy.
Having enchanted audiences on the country’s most iconic stages for over three decades, Weeping Willows continues to captivate listeners across Sweden. Their debut album Broken Promise Land from 1997 has long been established as a Swedish pop classic and remains the foundation of their distinctive sound.
This spring, the band sets out on a journey to concert halls nationwide, performing both their most cherished hits and new material from the acclaimed album Goodwill, released in May. With this release, Weeping Willows proves they are constantly evolving—refining their sound and creating new music that resonates with a wide audience.
“This spring we’re doing a big tour across Sweden—from north to south, east to west. We hope you’ll come and listen. Welcome, and we hope to see you there,” says lead singer Magnus Carlson.
On stage, the band will be joined by a seasoned group of musicians:
- Anders Kappelin – bass
- Goran Kajfeš – trumpet
- Per “Ruskträsk” Johansson – saxophone and flute
