Author Talk – William Älgebrink

A conversation between author William Älgebrink and the Chairman of the Cultural Committee Daniel Sjögren about making a debut, the importance of place for creation, the love of dark stories and much, much more.

William Älgebrink, born in 1997 and living in Jokkmokk, is a communicator and filmmaker. He is also one of the editors-in-chief of the horror magazine Makaber magasin. In 2024, William debuted with Huset vid Pärlälvens slit, a dark suspense novel set in the inland of Norrbotten. It was nominated for the best detective debut of 2024 by the Swedish Detective Academy. It was also nominated for Book of the Year 2025.
