Burträskarnas BIO shows Burträskfilmerna

The Burträsk films (Sweden 1950 and 1974) 28 min, 43 min, 44 min
Documentary filmmaker Rickard Tegström (1909-1981) from Umeå 
worked with Walt Disney during the 1950s and their Oscar-winning documentary series People & Places. 
Tegström also made parish films in Västerbotten. The Burträsk films (Farmer's Village) were made on commission by the newly formed local history association in Burträsk. The films were shown in schools, cinemas and in neighbouring municipalities. 
In the first part of 28 minutes, working methods and customs have been recreated at the time of the turn of the century 1900. 
In part 2 of 43 minutes, the construction of the new church runs like a common thread through the film, which marks the breakthrough of new times after the Second World War. 
Part 3 was commissioned by Burträsk Municipality before the merger in Skellefteå in 1974.
