Lecture with Swedish Rescuers about their aid work in Ukraine
Skellefteå
Nils-Gunnar "Nenne" Johansson, a teacher at Anderstorpsgymnasiet and volunteer with the organization, shares how the old book bus donated by Skellefteå Municipality will be put to use in war-torn Ukraine, as well as stories from previous trips.
Swedish Rescuers is a team of volunteers from across Sweden — including paramedics, police officers, firefighters, and mission specialists. They crowdfund vehicles, drive them down themselves, and hand them over directly to recipients on-site in Ukraine, without intermediaries.
Location: IOGT-gården
Founded in 2011, Swedish Rescuers is entirely funded by donations. No one can do everything, but everyone can do something – and they do! To date, nearly 200 vehicles and pieces of equipment have been delivered to war-torn Ukraine.
The lecture will be held in Swedish.
