Author Talk: Håkan Larsson - Time for the Nordics!
The City Library, Skellefteå
Håkan Larsson is a journalist and the author of the recently published book “Dags för Norden” (“Time for the Nordics”). In connection with the Storytelling Festival, the Norden Association Skellefteå invites Håkan for a conversation about why the Nordic region, in today’s troubled world, is seen as more important than ever.
With Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, an unpredictable U.S. president, and political unrest in several European countries, strong Nordic cooperation is needed. For the first time since the Kalmar Union, all the Nordic countries now share the same defense and security foundation – opening up opportunities for closer collaboration across many areas of society.
Håkan Larsson (born 1950) is a journalist who has worked with Nordic cooperation in various roles since the 1970s. He has long been active in the Centre Movement and has served as a member of parliament for Jämtland County. Today, Håkan is chair of the Norden Association Östersund/Jämtland.
The conversation takes place from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Västerbotten Room at the City Library in Sara Kulturhus. Free admission.
The lecture will be held in Swedish.
