Popkörkonsert Sångkollektivet

Skellefteå’s newly launched choir project, Sångkollektivet, takes the stage! Under the direction of Elsa Sundin and together with Mästerskapet, they present an evening filled with song and joy. With a full 120 singers on stage, the audience will experience pop in all its forms – from pulsating dancefloor energy to tender ballads.

Sångkollektivet is a new choir concept in Skellefteå, created to bring together people of all ages who love to sing – whether they’re beginners or seasoned vocalists. At its core are community, growth, and the joy of singing, with the vision that everyone has the right to use their voice, find their expression, and feel the power of singing together with others.

The initiative is led by Elsa Sundin, a trained choir director who grew up in Skellefteå. After years of studying, working, and touring across Sweden, she has returned home to build on the choral tradition she herself was once part of. With a passion for both musical precision and the freedom of joyful singing, she creates choir music that engages – and a space where people can grow through song.

When Sångkollektivet takes the stage, it becomes more than just a concert. It’s a glimpse of something new emerging in Skellefteå’s cultural life – a project where courage, community, and music come together and transform into something greater.

Good to know before your visit:

Age limit: none
Wardrobe: is located adjacent to the stage for the event and the fee is included in your ticket.
Bags: smaller sizes (maximum 21x30 cm) are allowed in the auditorium, read more here.
Admission: approx. 30 minutes before the event starts.
Eating: Food and drink are not allowed to be brought into our stages.
Hearing aids: available in all our scenes, read more here.
Walker: placed outside the entrance, staff on site are available if you need help.
Wheelchair spaces: All wheelchair spaces are accessible via lift, stairwell B, left side. Due to evacuation regulations, a wheelchair ticket must be presented by a wheelchair user for entry to events in Stage 1 or Stage 2.
