The exhibition Democracy Needs You! shows the interaction between the people and their elected officials. It is illustrated with an outside and an inside with different characters.
The outside is society and parliament, what goes on outside your home and affects everyday life. The inside is the safe home. A kitchen table becomes the home parliament – here conversations are held, proposals take shape that can lead to political decisions. Objects, symbols and phenomena are displayed on the walls of the home and are linked to the constitutions, laws that the parliament on the other side of the wall makes. A reminder of the constant interaction between the home, the people and the parliament, the elected representatives.
