The Ernst Westerlund Day at Nordanå

Nordanåteatern, Skellefteå

On 8 November it’s time for Ernst Westerlund Day – an annual tradition held in memory of Skellefteå Museum’s first curator, Honorary Doctor of Philosophy at Umeå University, and one of the pioneers who laid the foundation for cultural-historical work in northern Västerbotten. (NOTE! In Swedish)

The Västerbottens Norra Fornminnesförening invites you to an afternoon at Nordanåteatern, filled with stories and perspectives from the region’s rich cultural history.

This year the event feels especially significant, as Skellefteå Museum celebrates 100 years at Nordanå – the very place where Westerlund’s work once began, and where his dedication continues to inspire.
