Pianomania Nordica - Suzana Bartal

Together with world-renowned pianist, composer, and educator Niklas Sivelöv, Sara kulturhus introduces the piano series Pianomania Nordica, offering intimate, resonant, and personal musical experiences.

The second spring concert in the series brings a welcome reunion with French-Hungarian pianist Suzana Bartal. In spring 2023, Bartal performed at Sara Kulturhus as soloist in the concert Bruckner and Schumann, together with the Norrlandsoperan Symphony Orchestra.

Suzana Bartal is regarded as one of the leading pianists of her generation, performing on some of the world’s most prestigious stages. Her interpretations are characterized by depth, virtuosity, and poetic sensitivity. Alongside her international solo career, she is a passionate chamber musician and advocate for contemporary music.

Bartal also holds a doctorate from the Yale School of Music, is the artistic director of the Piano à Riom festival, and since 2024 has been professor of piano at the École Normale de Musique in Paris.
