After a highly praised concert in 2023, it is now confirmed that The Tallest Man On Earth will return to Skellefteå. We are incredibly happy and proud to be one of six Swedish venues that Kristian Matsson will visit during his spring performances. Sara kulturhus has been entrusted with hosting the tour premiere on May 1 – and will also be the only stop along the entire Norrland coast.

After a celebrated visit in 2023, The Tallest Man on Earth, also known as Kristian Matsson, is returning to Sara kulturhus. On May 1, 2026, he once again takes the stage, ready to fill the venue with his unmistakable intensity, his characteristic guitar playing, and a presence that few artists can match.

Kristian Matsson is one of Sweden’s most beloved and respected voices in indie folk. Unlike many artists, he doesn’t need grand arrangements or extravagant productions to make a room come alive. It’s the raw, grainy voice, the intuitive yet precise guitar work, and his restless energy that have made him a favorite among audiences worldwide.

The now-iconic albums The Wild Hunt and Shallow Grave laid the foundation for his career, stripped down, powerful, and timeless. Over the years, Matsson has expanded his musical expression by adding more instrumentation and collaborating with other musicians, something clearly heard on albums like Dark Bird Is Home and the most recent, acclaimed Henry St. (2023), where he recorded with a full band for the first time.

But regardless of production, the core remains the same: the weightless melodies, the evocative and elusive lyrics, and a voice that feels both ancient and thoroughly present. And it’s on stage that these qualities truly reach their full potential. When Matsson moves across the stage, as if the music is boiling over inside him, moments arise that can only be described as pure magic.

On May 1, Skellefteå once again gets the chance to experience it.
Welcome to an unforgettable evening with The Tallest Man on Earth.
