Jazz club BOSTON in Skellefteå is an association of jazz enthusiasts with the aim of strengthening, developing and preserving jazz music as an art and cultural form.
The club's aim is to:
- offer live music in a selection that satisfies the members' wishes and musical tastes
- give the town's own jazz musicians the opportunity to actively practice music
- support and inform about other jazz arrangements
- arrange group trips to jazz events primarily in our neighboring municipalities
- spread deeper knowledge of the background and development of jazz music.
Membership in the club is obtained by paying an annual fee, the size of which is determined by the regular annual meeting. The board has the right to refuse or cancel membership for anyone who opposes the club's purpose. Such decision must be confirmed by the annual meeting.
