Two young boys, Berra and Benny, make a macabre discovery in a railway wagon in Skellefteå during the summer of 1965.
They recognize the man who’s been dumped among the slaughter remains from the nearby slaughterhouse – known locally as “the Miner” – and they choose not to tell anyone what they’ve seen, out of fear of getting into trouble themselves.
Berthil Åkerlund was born in Skellefteå in 1954 and has worked as a journalist since 1979.
