Artisan Food Days in Skellefteå

In October 2025, we gather northern Sweden’s top food and beverage producers in the heart of Skellefteå – the beautiful South Foyer of Sara Cultural Centre. Thousands of visitors who are passionate about high-quality ingredients and sustainable local food craftsmanship will attend – and this year’s event will be extra special as it coincides with the Swedish Championships in Artisan Food!

Our local producers are the heart of our food culture, contributing quality and care to every ingredient. Through their work, we get to enjoy authentic flavors that reflect the place we live in. Svedjan Ost

Svedjan Ost is an artisanal cheese from Västerbotten, crafted from the farm’s own milk with great care at every step. It has received gold and silver medals at the Swedish Artisan Food Championships, gold at the Nordic Artisan Food Awards, and has even been served at the Nobel Banquet.

Hermanssons Bageri

Hermanssons Bageri is a family-owned country bakery in Burvik, outside Skellefteå. Founded in 1951 and now run by the third generation, the bakery focuses on craftsmanship and tradition – everything is handmade, from classic buns to the popular "Burvikskaka". During the summer, they welcome guests to their café offering homemade treats, a flea market, and family-friendly activities.

Byske Karamellfabrik is one of the oldest businesses in Byske, founded in 1906. Here, candy is made by hand following traditional recipes and with great attention to taste and quality.
