Welcome to Storsia - an exhibition that takes you on a journey through local history in Skellefteå, Norsjö and Malå. From 10,500 before our era to the year 2020.

The name Storsia is a wordplay with names and local dialects and can roughly be translated to "The big area". On the top floor of the main building on Nordanå, Storsia extends over 500 sqm. The exhibition takes the visitor on a journey through local history in Skellefteå, Norsjö and Malå - from 10,500 before our era to the year 2020. The history is presented chronologically and is divided into nine periods.

Storsia follows the school's curriculum, and the exhibition has a clear pedagogical structure with core texts and materials from the museum's archives. Everything in the physical room is also available digitally, and in several languages ​​via Skellefteå Museum's website.
