Venues in Skellefteå

We have arenas and halls that are suitable for both indoor and outdoor events. Skellefteå as a city has long experience of organising large events and competitions. We also have many strong associations that regularly organise major competitions and events. A number of arenas have been expanded and upgraded to fit larger events, and several new buildings are underway

Skellefteå Kraft Arena

Skellefteå's modern hockey and event arena is within walking distance of the city center. The arena accommodates over 6,000 spectators and has a large entrance, restaurant, sports bar, boxes, conference and press rooms. Melodifestivalen, Laleh, Björn Skifs, Tomas Ledin and many more have performed here over the years.

Nordanå Cultural Area

Nordanå is the name of Skellefteå's cultural area, located a stone's throw away from the city and surrounded by greenery and beautiful nature. Trästockfestivalen, Sweden's largest free festival, has been organized there for many years. Nordanå has also been the host of individual magical summer concerts with for instance First Aid Kit, Jill Johnson, Bo Kaspers Orchestra, Timbuktu & Seinabo Sey

Folkparken

Folkparken is a large and versatile facility, both indoors and outdoors. Folkparken has a large room with space for up to 800 guests, modern technical equipment, a scene for entertainment and a mingle space.

Scandic Hotel

Scandic Hotel has a party room for 1,200 seated guests and a restaurant for 400 seated guests. A total of 1,800 sqm of exhibition space and an audience capacity of 600 seats - generous and flexible spaces for lectures, fairs, exhibitions and events. In 2019, Skellefteå Tattoo Festival & UF-mässan were organised there.

Eddahallen

Eddahallen is located ten minutes walk away from Skellefteå Kraft Arena and the ski stadium. A feel-good temple with swimming facilities, saunas, a gym, sports halls and a café. Eddahallen includes a sports arena for indoor sports which can accommodate 1,100 people including participants, with 655 seats and space for additional chairs on the floor. Titanic The Exhibition was set up at Eddahallen in 2018 and the venue regularly welcomes trade fairs and public shows.

Skellefteå Stadshotell

Skellefteå Stadshotell has a restaurant for 400 seated guests and a reception hall for 200 seated guests.
